District Search and Rescue Fun June 7th

Now Hear This! All District 11N Boat Crew and Coxswains could be on the winning team heading to Cape May, New Jersey, next October for a National Search and Rescue Competition.

Every Division in D11N is entitled to enter a 3-person team in the June 7th District competition at Coast Guard Island in Alameda. One team will earn the highest score and the Cape May trip. Second place will be an alternate. Everyone will have fun. If your Division hasn't selected its team yet, let your leadership know you are interested--they may just choose you to join colleagues from all over D11NR for a day of fun and learning as last year's team puts on a series of events designed to teach and test SAR-related skills, and ExComm puts on a BBQ lunch for all to enjoy.

Reimbursable orders will be issued for your Division team to come to Alameda, including travel, meals and lodging, if required. The October Cape May team will travel under orders as well. If you can't find three people from your Division for June 7th, contact the DSO-OP, Gail Ramsey and she may be able to hook you up for a cross-Division team.
